Diabolo

Natives in Nanjing call it “Playing diabolo” which was a game requiring high skills for children in old days. Since ancient times, Fuzimiao has been the place for producing, performing and selling diabolos. There are many family-based workshops, constituting folk craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation. At present, there are three famous ones, i.e. Zhuming (bamboo-resounding) Hall, Zhuyin (bamboo-sound) Hall and Zhulin (bamboo-grove) Hall.
